现代大学教育属于高等教育范畴之一，在中国的特定时期内还属于应试教育，大学教育的目的是培养适应社会发展的人才。
现代社会大学教育培养目标是以社会为目的。虽然它为适应社会发展培养了大批专业化人才，在一定程度上促进了社会生产力发展；但在这同时，它也丧失了自己的个性，沦为社会的婢女。
为此，大学教育必须以人的发展为目的，把教书和育人有机结合起来；在给学生传授知识和技能的同时，使他们的道德情操得到陶冶和修养，能够按照人的样子组织世界。这样，大学教育才能从目前唯社会是用的婢女地位中解放出来，才能引导社会文明发展。
这样，大学毕业生将不是物的存在，而是人的真正存在；不是单面人，而是内涵丰富的人。他们到了社会上，不仅能够谋生创业，而且完全能够承担起改革社会的重担。

教育模式：
第一，中国本科教育是“被专业”的教育。在现有本科教育模式下，每一个受教育者都会带上极强的专业烙印，每一个本科生除了学校的标签之外，同时都贴上“专业标签”，并自然而然地分流到与之相应的各行各业。
显然，在计划模式下，这一特征有其制度的优势，但在社会行业产业结构不断变换的今天，这一“被专业”的本科教育无疑需要深刻的变革。
第二，中国本科教育是“被计划”的教育。在现有本科教育模式下，高校从招生计划到教学计划，从教学计划到就业计划，都带有很强的“计划”思维，高校在“计划”面前缺乏自主权，学生在“计划”面前缺乏选择权。
一方面，带来了我国高校本科毕业生的毕业率和就业率“虚高”；另一方面，人才培养质量却难以提高，拔尖创新人才尤其匮乏。
第三，中国本科教育是“被选择”的教育。在现有本科教育模式下，一方面，我国本科教育中引入了国外大学常见的学分制、选修制等制度安排；但另一方面，大学生在专业选择、课程选择、教师选择，甚至是学习进程中，又都是事先被预设的，学生缺乏选择的空间和机会。由此导致了高校人才培养同质化严重、个性化缺失。
第四，中国本科教育是“被大众”的教育。经过近20年的大发展，中国高等教育已经进入高度大众化阶段，即将迈入普及化。尽管在数量上已经大众化，但由于人才培养的观念、模式、体制和质量标准缺少精英教育的基因，导致数量上的大众化缺乏精英教育的支撑。

5. 大学专科教育？

大学专科教育出来就是大专学历，比本科学历低很多，但是有一个大专学历总比没有好，现在很多公司最低要求是大专学历。

大学教育的目的是为了提高人们的思想意识，本身应该是达到目的的手段。在大学里，学习技能，这样才能更好地适应社会。在第一年学习基础知识，在第二年学习相关的内部专业，在第三年学习专业知识，在第四年参加实习或研究生入学考试。大学是一个缩小规模的社会。

教育的注意事项：
大学教育只是从学生角色向社会角色转变的一种方式。人们进入社会的途径很多，大学教育就是其中之一。而目的只有一个，就是让生活更美好，让生命更有价值。然而，当代中国社会却把本末倒置。
在当今社会面临着就业结构不合理、劳动技能水平低的现实情况下，这是就业问题的主要因素，中国社会正经历着巨大的变化，同时也面临着多样化的社会需要人才，只有与人才培养的市场需求相结合，才能使人才尽力而为，为国家服务。
